Leonard must stay clean and keep himself out of prison so that (he must do this or else...)

Tom (student) must prevent a psycho killer (killed his classmate leroy) from escaping the school premises while waiting for police to arrive

3. Doogie
Wendy must save her sister from a paranormal being and the way to do that lies in her dreams.

4. Manmeet
A 20+ yr old man wants to have an affair with his best friend's wife after discovering that his friend had been having an affair with his wife (deceased recently).

5. Greg
A guy who has lost his memory must (do/want something or else)

6. Juliana
Ash must stop Helmi from destroying his father's grave, ends up killing Helmi.
(twist: Ash realizes that Helmi is himself...)
(notes: Helmi is a split image of Ash's father when his father was 25 years old)

7. Willy
Aaron finds his wife chloe dead and wants/struggles to hide the body despite the eerie feeling that someone is watching/stalking him.

8. Yoo Seok
Detective Lim has to solve a murder case or he will lose his job (why is losing his job a big deal?).

9. Shantosh
ASP Krishnan and Insp. Carol Wong carry out an overnight stake out to catch a murder suspect but they discover that the she is a ghost.

ASP & Insp must escape from a female ghost whom they realize had murdered victims in their police case.

A guy named Dion wants to know where about is his biological father (backstory) >> MUST ESTABLISH MOTIVE

A talented guy sneaks into a gig (his favourite band) and performs on stage because wants to be a famous guitarist. (notes: he thinks that he will get the attention from talent scouts if he does this)
(he uses the gig to get talent scouts attention hoping to be a famous guitarist)

11. Farhan

story angle/theme/key message:
When seven sins (in the form of a human, Ean) conflicting with the mind to get the key to the release of the heart.

My story is about Ean who must escape from Brian (threatens to kill). To escape, he needs to go through a locked "magical" door at (a surreal location).

12. Bee

Trey (tricks) uses Michelle's love for him to finish writing his romance screenplay (to be on time to pitch for a huge project), and ends up falling in love with her.

Michelle must know if Trey really loves her or is just using her to write his screenplay after peeking at the script that he's working on. Will she find out the truth or be faced with another lie? (Answer: Trey is using his script to express how he wants their relationship to be, which does not reflect reality in his real life)

13. Irwin

Reminiscing the memories from old photos, Ellie is controlling her emotions from breaking down as her mind fantasizes of getting back together with her ex boyfriend. (my comments in fb)

14. Yingling
Eve visits a hypnotist and finds out that the reason for the car accident that made her lose her memory.

Eve must use evidence hidden by her husband before they (Eve and husband) had a car accident (accident is a murder attempt where husband died, and she lost her memory) so that she can stop the person who is trying to kill them.

Eve must find & use the evidence hidden by her husband to avoid being killed.

impt info to plant in story:
- Her husband revealed the info during a car journey before being killed in a car accident.
- info husband told her - who the murderer is, why they are targets for the murder, where he hid the evidence, plan to reveal evidence to police to catch murderer if not both of them will be killed
- she lost a portion of her memory during the accident
- car accident happened because the brakes were tampered with

muderer = her friend (who had an affair with her husband?)

Alice must escape from a mask man who is going to kill her.

A young couple struggles to save their marriage.

Nashirah must put her pride aside to apologize to her husband and save her marriage.

Yukiko must kill the 4 smokers in her office because she believes that their smoke has caused the death of her unborn baby.

Joseph wants to kill his murderer after he gets reborn as a housefly.

Sally must kill "A" before he kills her.

Tenya (a witch bad at using magic) struggles with trying to bring her dog to the vet on time to save its life when she uses magic to get her dog to the hospital on time.

Tenya (bad at magic) must use magic to return a lost puppy to its owner (as ordered by the "council") or her magic powers will be taken away from her.

5. Eldon
Bandit must kill a "monster" to avenge death of his wife and son.

6. Jem
Adam desperately wants to find his lost sister, Alice before he dies.

7. Raymond
Ignis must win a fighting tournament to receive the special prize - a magical wish that will give his sister and him a better life.

A Father and Son fight over a watch (owned by his wife/son's mother), resulting in the death of the son and the father being admitted to a mental hospital.

Nezia (half human, half aquaria) must use an ancient sword (HOW?) to stop the decade-long war between humans and Sea-people (aquaria).

Human lizard, Toma (who is a successful result of John's experiment), must kill John to stop him from changing people into lizards. (John wants the whole world to be human lizards).

Riku's pet must convince her to travel home to save her world from fading away.

Circus Master, Marven, (comes back from hell) wants to kill a demon, Vexen to avenge his friends.

Senior Police Investigator, Louis and new police Investigator, Derek has to crack down the case of 
a mass murderer who kills and hangs the victim, leaving behind the bodies with codes being carved on 
their necks.

Larry and his two friends sneak out during Halloween to play with fireworks but a sudden downpour forces them to take shelter in an old mill where they get the scare of their life as they realize it is not as empty as they thought. (comments - pm'd in fb)

Robert McKee answers this question from writer Steve Ericsson:
"Introducing many characters within a story, even if you have just one or two main characters, is quite a challenge when writing a screenplay. How would you go about introducing several important characters during the first act/first half of the story in an effective and compelling way?"

 

Exposition: (meaning) The part of a play that provides the background information needed to understand the characters and the action.
